Metrocon 2012

Last week was one of the biggest interior design events of the year for us designers and I'm so lucky to be in Dallas to enjoy it.  Of course, I'd love to make it up to NeoCon in Chicago one year and really make my feet scream considering its something crazy like 7 floors instead one huge market hall, but anyway.  Here are few new products that I was dying over this, most products at the trade show don't translate too well for home design but here are couple that I think you might enjoy--

This was one of the first booths I saw and I probably looked like a kid in a candy store, jumping up and down and touching everything.

This are not Carrera!!!  Had you fooled?  These are actually 5'x10' PORCELAIN 2cm slabs.  Why porcelain versus the real stuff?  Porcelain is baked at a higher temp so its nearly indestructible when installed properly.  Meaning red wine spills, heat, sealers, are not an issue.  This would be FAB in a shower install = NO grout lines :)

This indoor/outdoor chair just made me smile, a little glam AND weather proof???  Step back traditional outdoor seating!

OF course I DIED when I came across this Lucite number.  PS - I guess I never knew how heavy this stuff really was, but I would take it all....minus the Vegas looking upholstery.  C'mon now, let's sub it for a little leopard or some B&W graphic?

I know this one looks kinda womp womp, but you can have this outdoor bench painted any color you want on the inside and install LED's, the install shot was Ah-maze!

After my feet were about to fall off, we took the party to a sneak preview of Daltile's new showroom and I was absorbed in all these back splash ideas--

Totally digging this for a masculine bathroom

"Braided," Honed Carrera??? Be still my heart.

A little twist on an otherwise classic!

This color combo reminds me of Charlie Brown, but in a shower surround or on the floor in blacks white and greys wold be STUNNING.

I'm not a huge tile the floor throughout your house kind of girl, I will always pick wood first.  But this white washed looking vein cut porcelain floor is the best of both worlds.  Durability and style!

I see alot of white basket weave and thought this one was a fun option instead.

Its kind of heard to tell, but the grout on this one is actually glittery grout...what a cool way to add a little glam to your glass tiles!

Very nice! Love the neutral color. We installed the frameless glass on our shower and I love it.
