I get alot of updates of friends dreaming on warmer weather and everything that Spring brings. While here in Dallas we are just beginning our "Winter," ....if that's what you want to call it.
Anyway, when I think Spring, immediately baby chickens, blue eggs, and florals come into my mind. But vintage florals have come a long way from grandma's uncomfortable couch, wedding decor, adolescent girls or creepy doll houses. I think it adds a whimsical glam to a room if you are willing to try-- You CAN achieve a really great eclectic, collected vibe that maybe even the dudes can live with. Just be sure to 1.) Limit to only one or two elements to start off with and 2.) Mix with Masculine pieces.
If you are too scared to take the leap and commit to floral in the home, incorporate florals into your daily style-- you know it will turn heads!!!

As a Designer, I would never tell you to upholster your entire sectional in Laura Ashley fabric, but if you inherited it, this is a fantastic way to liven it up :) |
In a past project, we used these Roche Bobois "couches" for the tower residences and it perfectly captured the essence of Austin, TX....weird, funky, hippie, eclectic. |
