Washington School House Hotel

This fabulousness has made its rounds since its debut in 2011, but I can't help but share--it's just too good!  This 1898 school has been revived to be like, the chicest ski lodge ever.  Reclaimed oak barn wood floors, hand picked antiques, real silver flatware, crystal chandys, eclectic art and lots of white.  I know where I'll be staying if I ever make it out to Park Cities UT!  Oh and they promise to upload pictures as they change and cultivate- SWOON!

Everything about this is perfection, the board and batten, the mirror, the painted stone fireplace, the rustic/dripping with crystal chandelier, the white linen slip covers, the oak washed table--my list goes on.

This is a GREAT inspiration for those of you who have basements. Slate tile, TONS of lighting and white walls.

I love that the designer stayed true with the period in details.  This porcelain knob is timeless

You know how I am with white kitchens

Fresh out from Chicago

Every Summer, Interior Designers flock to the windy city to see the latest and greatest in commercial design (and a little in residential too!)  And yours truly got a chance to take it all in..yay!  Chicago is one of my favorite cities and I was thrilled to be there during the work week too!

So this years "in-style" is pretty much summed up by everything old is new again. The first Trend that was pretty much everywhere is wool upholstery in solid colors

The second Commercial Trend is the idea of private spaces within some not so private places.  These booths are made out of a felt-like material that masks sound pretty well, although the fabric pattern is very scary to me...maybe in a guys room????

Of course Hex's are all the rage...again.  And ya'll know how much I love that!

Color is pretty happening too.  Taking something classic with a new twist and pop of color.

And of course I had to pop into the Tile and Bath showrooms.....pure love!

How Gorg is this Kohler ped sink!??!?!?! Urban yet classic

Mid Century sink in a very Men's Club kind of way

Mirrored Tile....I die.

So what does this mean for the residential market and your house your asking?

Funky Accent Chairs in Neutral colors so you won't get tired in a year or so.
